Join PoemCity's celebration of National Poetry Month for tea as we hear the voices of teachers and students of the Montpelier Senior Activity Center: Charlie Barasch, Liz Benjamin, Jane E. Bryant, Jeanne Weston Cook, Sarah Franklin, and Geof Hewitt. Down Home Kitchen will wow us with a delicious tea featuring scratch-made goodness. There is a charge for tea and food, but you can attend without buying food.
Join us for our PoemCity finale with Sean Prentiss, Julia Shipley, James Crews, and Jody Gladding at Down Home Kitchen. All four poets will share poetry that deals with how place affects us as humans and as writers, infused with language that evokes landscapes, people, animals, and plant life. These poems aim to bring the reader intimately into a single spot on this earth. Down Home supper available: a cup of delicious homemade soup (veggie, gluten-free, meat choices) bread, side salad and scratch-made dessert, $20. All beverages extra. You can attend without buying food.
